PASS Tools Update: Harmonics, Symphonics & ATG Connect (September 2026)
Every month we ship a batch of improvements across PASS Tools. September was one of our busiest, with 39 changes. Most of them started with a customer telling us something was wrong or missing. Here is what is new and better for you and your team.

PASS Harmonics
A Vendor Imports report shows the test results sent in for your sites. Some testing companies send your results to us directly. Until now, a result we could not match to a site sat where you could not see it. The new Vendor Imports card on your company's Reports page lists every batch we received. Each row shows when it arrived and how many results were filed. It only appears if results have been sent for your account. A result we could not match now tries again every night. A record filed this way links back to the batch it came from.
The paperwork history now says when a record was set to archive. Most records archive on their own when their retention date arrives. Nothing was written down when that happened, so the history often had nothing to say. Now it records the moment the date was set, for example "Scheduled to archive on July 02, 2026 (1-year retention)". Records archived at inspection sign-off name the inspector. Older records got the same entries filled in, so the history reaches back too.
The Missing Paperwork report flags only real gaps. Picking a parent category used to flag every facility as missing. The report now looks through the category you pick and every category under it. A facility shows up only when nothing is filed anywhere in that branch. The report also opens empty until you choose a category. What you see always matches what you picked.
Print compliance book QR stickers for every site at once. Open your company's Facilities page, open the More menu, and pick Download compliance book QR labels. You get one PDF of 4 by 2 inch labels, ten to a letter-size sheet. Filter the list first and the sheet follows your filter. The stickers go on the tank gauge, so only sites with ATG Connect get one. The QR code is shorter now too, which makes it easier to scan at arm's length.
Three new filters on the Tank Detail Report. You can now filter by State, Product and Tank Material, next to the Tank Type filter that was already there. The filters stack, so Pennsylvania plus Diesel shows diesel tanks in Pennsylvania only. Each list offers only what your own tanks carry. The export matches what is on screen.
A Dri-Sump Port column on the UST and Dispenser Detail Reports. Our forms have asked whether a Dri-sump testing port is fitted since last October, but no report showed the answer. The UST Detail Report now has a Dri-Sump Port column. The Dispenser Detail Report has a UDC Dri-Sump Port column. Both are in the CSV download and the search box. Expect blanks for now. The column fills in as inspectors answer the question in the field.
Weekly maintenance task emails now send. The notification settings page has two boxes under Maintenance Tasks, Sent Weekly: Due Soon and Overdue. Ticking them did nothing, because the Monday email looked for the setting under the wrong name. It sends now, every Monday morning, to anyone who ticked a box and has an open task at their sites. An overdue task also counts as due soon, so it can appear in both emails.
Paperwork can now expire or archive in months. Some records renew every six months, but a paperwork type could only be set in whole years. PASS can now set a type's expiration or archive period in months. Records filed on those types get dates that match their real cycle.
The Tanks list filters, sorts, and exports. The Tanks list now has a State filter, shows 100 tanks per page, and exports to CSV. It also sorts by facility, then tank number, by default, so tanks at the same site stay together.
PASS Symphonics
The past-due count on the home page matches the list behind it. For an Admin who held regions, the Inspection Status tile counted only those regions. The list it opened counted the whole account. So the two numbers could disagree, with nothing on screen to say why. The tile now counts the whole account for every Admin, the same as the other home page tiles always did.
Contractors can review an inspection, but you approve it. When you hand a service plan to an outside contractor, that contractor could approve its own inspections. Approving finishes the job, so your team never saw the work. Contractors can still open the review page and check everything. The Approve button is gone for them. The inspection waits In Review until the company that owns the plan, or the provider that manages it, approves it. This applies to plans with Require Review switched on.
Taking a plan back from a contractor now lists your own people. When you revoke a delegation, PASS asks who should hold the plan next. That list used to show only people at the company that owns the plan. If you manage that company, your own staff never appeared, so there was no way to finish. Your people now show up alongside the owner's.
Turn a sideways photo the right way up. Phones often save photos on their side, which makes a gauge or a label hard to read at review time. The Edit Photo screen now has two Rotate buttons, top right. Each click is a quarter turn, and nothing is kept until you click Save Changes. The original file is never changed, so you can always turn it back.
iPhone photos attach, and a failed upload says why. Some iPhone photos are saved in Apple's HEIC format with a .jpeg name. PASS refused them with a message that named nothing. PNG, GIF, JPEG and HEIC photos now all attach. If a file still fails, the message names the file and the reason.
Older smart form answers no longer stop a form from opening. Some answers were saved by an earlier version of our form viewer, in an older format. On a checkbox or a dropdown, that could stop the smart form from loading and its PDF from being made. PASS now reads those answers in the shape each field expects. Answers saved the normal way are untouched.
The add-plan form tells you why Save did nothing. Two checks on the add-plan form had nowhere to show their message. A duplicate plan, or a Responsible Assignee who could not be assigned, made Save look broken. Both messages now show on the form.
Large facility lists load without timing out. For service providers with many sites, the Facilities list could take long enough to time out. It now does far less work for each page, so it loads.
Service plan notes show on the inspection page. A service plan's own notes now show right on the inspection page for that plan. You no longer have to leave the inspection and open the service plan separately just to read them.
Director admins can switch off their own fully separated customer companies. Director admins can now turn off a fully separated customer company they manage. Before this, that option only worked for companies set up the usual way.
A Director's punch list drops paperwork from customers who left. A Director's punch list no longer shows outstanding paperwork for customers who are no longer on the account. Only current customers' paperwork appears.
Rescheduling a visit with no start date no longer errors. You can now reschedule a visit and leave the start date blank without running into an error. The reschedule goes through instead of stopping partway.
PASS ATG Connect
Tank level alerts send again, once per change. The Too High, Overfilled, Delivery Needed and Too Low emails are switched back on. Each one sends once, when a tank moves into that state, and not again while it stays there. A tank that was already out of range when this went live stays quiet until its state changes.
Suppressed alarms stay quiet by email too. Some alarms arrived with an extra space at the end of their category name. PASS could not match them to an incident code, so they skipped your suppression settings and went out as Emergency. PASS now ignores the extra space. If you suppressed a code, it stays suppressed.
Poll Now clears alarms that were cleared at the site. Poll Now already fetched fresh readings and active alarms. But an alarm cleared at the site stayed active in PASS for up to 15 minutes, until the next sync. Poll Now now checks every open alarm on that gauge. It clears the ones the site has cleared, with the real time they cleared.
Alarms with a future date close on their own. A gauge with its clock set wrong can stamp an alarm with a date years ahead. PASS never checked those again, so they stayed open. PASS now re-checks them and closes them once they are cleared. If you see one, the gauge's clock needs setting.
Set the urgency on two more tank gauge warnings. Two console warnings, iButton Fault Warning and NPT Synchronization Stopped, had no incident code, so they arrived as Emergency. Both now have a code with a default of High. You can change either one, or suppress it, on the Incident Code Urgency Settings page.
Technicians and inspectors can read incidents. Technicians and inspectors got Access Denied when they opened Incidents in ATG Connect. They can now read incidents at the facilities they are assigned to. Acknowledging and assigning an incident still need edit rights.
A Polling card on every ATG device page. Each device page now shows how its gauge is polled. You get the model, system ID, serial number, polling cadence and last sync. It refreshes every 15 minutes.
A date range filter on the tank Deliveries page. A busy tank has a long delivery list, and there was no way to narrow it. The Deliveries page now has a Date Range - Delivered On filter. It is the same picker as on the Inventory Detail page. It shows full history until you pick dates. It blocks future dates and includes the whole end day, in the site's own time zone.
The Sensor Status Report counts sensors that have been normal for months. A sensor only reports when its status changes. One that stayed normal for months had no record inside your dates. So the report showed no rows and marked it failed. The report now counts any status that overlaps your dates. A sensor with no data at all shows as no data, not failed.
The classic monitoring reports run through today. The report pages on the classic monitoring screens stopped at 8 PM Eastern the night before. Today's readings were missing. Dates now follow the site's own time zone, from midnight to 11:59 PM.
Reconciliation reports cover the right days again. The 10-day reconciliation report had started showing 11 days, with the last day of the previous period at the top. That extra day fed the totals and the pass or fail line. Reports now keep only the days inside the period, on screen, in the CSV and on the printed worksheet. Saved reports from June onward were rebuilt to match. A period with no data no longer files a blank report.
A Monitoring menu for ATG Connect-only company admins. Company admins whose account has ATG Connect but not the rest of PASS Tools now see a Monitoring menu. It was missing for accounts set up this way.
Console commands no longer stick after a bad gauge reply. A console command sent to a tank gauge no longer gets stuck when the gauge sends back a bad reply. It clears so you can send it again instead of appearing to hang.
Across PASS Tools
Unsubscribe links work on three emails that ignored them. Three emails said you were unsubscribed, then kept coming: overdue logbook, daily tank inventory and weekly sensor status. All three links now work. If one still reaches you, click Unsubscribe once more, or untick the box on your notification settings page. That page now also says 60 days for the Order or Renew Soon email. That is what the email has always covered.
Monthly reports can run on the last day of the month. The Day of month picker on a report schedule used to stop at the 28th. It now runs 1 to 31. The 31st is labelled Last day of the month. It runs on the last day of every month, whatever its length. Existing schedules did not move, so change yours if you want month end.
Invoices with many lines show every line. An invoice in PASS Tools kept only its first ten lines, so a longer invoice could be missing some. PASS now reads every line, and the invoices that had hit the limit were refreshed.
The Changelog link opens this year's updates. The Changelog link at the bottom of every page pointed at a list we stopped updating in 2022. It now opens the PASS Tools Updates category on our news blog, where this post lives.
City and state now show on device screens and the facility nav bar. Device screens and the facility navigation bar now show each site's city and state. Facility names display in plain text, and non-admin users see fewer ID columns in facility lists.
This month's headlines
If you read nothing else: the Vendor Imports report shows the test results sent in for your sites. One PDF now prints a QR sticker for every compliance book. Contractors can no longer approve their own work on your plans. And tank level alerts send again, once per change.
