Superior Services Selects PASS Petroleum Compliance Software to Digitize UST Inspections and Field Services

Superior Services adopts PASS Symphonics Field Services to standardize inspections, streamline field documentation and turn service findings into actionable recommendations for its customers.

MUNCIE, Ind., September 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PASS Training & Compliance today announced that Superior Services has selected PASS Symphonics Field Services to digitize and standardize its petroleum inspection and testing workflows.

Symphonics connects Superior's field technicians, office teams and customers through a shared digital field-service workflow—from scheduling and guided inspections through documentation, action items and follow-up work.

The goal is to make inspections more efficient for Superior while giving owner/operators clearer, more consistent information about issues identified in the field and why recommended repairs or maintenance matters to their compliance program and facility uptime.

STANDARDIZING COMPLIANCE IN THE FIELD

Petroleum inspection and testing requirements vary by state, equipment and service type. PASS addresses that complexity through its Service Plan Library, which maintains more than 600 state- and manufacturer-specific rules and forms.

Those service plans drive inspection schedules and asset-based mobile workflows, helping technicians complete the appropriate inspection or test while automatically generating the required documentation and customer reports.

Using Symphonics, Superior technicians can complete guided digital inspections in the field, capture measurements, images and comments, and document deficiencies as they are identified.

The result is a consistent workflow:

Inspect. Identify. Action. Document.

TURNING FIELD FINDINGS INTO ACTION

Finding an issue is only valuable if the right people understand it and take action.

Symphonics converts deficiencies identified during inspections into standardized action items, creating a consistent vocabulary and documented workflow from the technician in the field to Superior's office and ultimately the owner/operator.

Photos, inspection results and supporting information provide customers with context around the finding and recommended corrective action. Open issues can then be reviewed, prioritized and progressed into repair or maintenance work rather than becoming disconnected notes on an inspection report.

For Superior, that creates an opportunity to capture appropriate follow-up work while technicians are already identifying customer needs in the field. For the owner/operator, the value is greater visibility into why the work is being recommended—whether to correct a compliance deficiency, prevent a developing equipment problem, improve reliability or protect facility uptime.

Raymond Rees, President and CEO of PASS Training & Compliance, remarked:

"The best service providers don't simply tell a customer that a test failed or something needs to be repaired. They help the customer understand what was found, why it matters and what should happen next.

That's what we're helping service providers accomplish with Symphonics. A technician can identify an issue, document it with consistent terminology and supporting information, and turn that finding into an actionable recommendation. Superior services becomes more efficient and creates additional service opportunities, while its customers get better information to make decisions about compliance, maintenance and equipment uptime."

Amanda Hensley, President, remarked:

"As our inspection and testing business continues to grow into new states and industries, our focus on quality and consistency becomes increasingly important. We wanted a system that could help our technicians complete the right inspection, capture the required documentation and clearly communicate what they find to our customers. PASS gives us a standardized process from the field through follow-up, while allowing our customers to better understand the compliance and operational importance of the work we're recommending."

COLLABORATIVE COMPLIANCE

UST compliance in 2026 and beyond is no longer about simply producing an ATG printout or completing an inspection. Increasing regulatory requirements demand ongoing coordination between owner/operators, service providers, facility teams, equipment, and compliance records.

Through the PASS Service Provider Network, Symphonics service providers and Harmonics owner/operators can work within a shared compliance ecosystem—connecting inspections, test results, equipment data, documentation, action items, and corrective work from identification through resolution.

Compliance is no longer just documentation. It’s collaboration.
