Here is a scenario with which many of us are familiar.  John needs to purchase an online UST Class A/B operator training course.  Before he commits to a purchase, he wants to find information on course content, length, testing, computer requirements, etc.

John visits Company A's website

He can't find the information he needs.  Before he can have access to any of that information, he must register for an account, which entails providing his company name and address, his name, and his e-mail address, etc.  He would then have to actually purchase the course — without knowing any of the information he needs to make an informed purchase.

 John visits Company B's website

There he finds a list of topics covered in the training course, but it's really just a generic list of EPA requirements. He watches a brief video that tells him some basic information about what the course involves, but nothing too specific.  He locates a few generic "customer reviews," which are ALL positive, and only offer John part of the story.  After this, he is directed to register for an account and make a purchase.

John is frustrated 

When he recently purchased a lawn mower, he was able to visit the hardware shop, talk to the customer service associates, ask questions, and inspect the floor models — allowing him to make an informed buying decision.  He wishes researching and purchasing UST operator training was that straightforward.
