Helping Those Impacted by the Tornado
By Holly Westerfield
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the communities affected by the disastrous tornadoes that swept across the mid-southern United States on the night of December 11th. We are proud of the way our friends and partners in these areas have been working hard to help those hit hardest by these storms. Our friends in the Kentucky Petroleum Marketing Association have been donating pallets of water and working hard to supply fuel to first responders, generators, food trucks, and to any other disaster recovery efforts that need it.
If you too are looking for a way to help, consider giving a financial donation to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund or donating blood. The Red Cross was already experiencing one of the worst blood shortages in over a decade, but now the need is critical. If you are able, please consider donating blood at a local blood drive or blood bank. You can find the nearest Red Cross Blood Drive to you here.
